More than a DMC

Who we are

Departement-S is a strategic European production partner and cultural bridge for international event agencies.

We reduce local friction and operational risk, making sure the gap between ambition and delivery is seamless.

Everyone can find the places. But not everyone has the key.

We turn the complexity of international production — with its operational, financial and regulatory challenges — into a competitive advantage.

Our strong presence in Germany and Spain, and active operations across France, Austria, Portugal and Italy, gives us local access across Europe that few can match.

We’ve also developed our operations in South America, with a focus on the Brazilian and Argentine markets.

Bringing your concept to life

Event Production

Whatever your event needs — finding the perfect venue, navigating cultural friction, or providing last-minute logistical support — we are adaptable by design. Our expertise spans the full lifecycle.

01

FAQs

Both. We handle technical production, permits, logistics and and we became your local production company, handling whatever tasks were necessary to ensure the event’s success, not just venue and supplier sourcing. You can bring us in for the full build or for the specific phases where you need extra hands.

Yes. We operate as your production arm and stay behind the scenes by default, though if you’d rather we interface with your client under your brand, we can do that too. It’s always your call.

Always. We don’t pitch, prospect or accept direct work from clients introduced through agency partners. Repeat agency work is our entire pipeline, and poaching would end the business model that pays us.

Yes. We run a core in-house team alongside a vetted network of specialists we’ve produced with for years, and we negotiate the best payment terms with suppliers, manage six- and seven-figure budgets, and carry the cash flow that complex productions need.

Yes. We turn around venue options inside 24–48 hours and cost supplier proposals in time to support your deck, with the bandwidth to stay responsive while you’re working to deadline.

DMCs are destination-bound and built around incoming travel, which is a different discipline and a different cost structure. Freelance producers can’t scale a team or underwrite supplier payments when budgets get serious. We’re built specifically for agencies that need a production partner operating the way they do.

Transparently. Production fees are agreed upfront, consulting time is billed only when it applies, and any supplier handling fees are itemised rather than buried in marked-up invoices. You always see exactly what you’re paying for.
